Please join us in a conversation with Todd Vogt about his journey with YOPD and his Olympic goals. He will talk about unexpected opportunities, dealing with the good and bad events that come your way and finding quality in the life you have. 


About Todd Vogt

Todd has been involved with the sport of rowing for over 20 years as both an athlete and a coach. Todd began rowing as a freshman at the University of Buffalo, in Buffalo, NY, eventually becoming Team Captain his senior year. When he wasn’t rowing, Todd received a bachelor’s and master’s Degree in Biochemistry. Todd continued to row competitively after college winning medals at the US National Championships and other large races.

Upon diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease in 2018 at the age of 43, Todd transitioned to be a Paralympic rower. Todd represented the US at the 2019 World Rowing Championships in Linz, Austria, finishing 6th in the world in the PR3 Men’s Pair event. Todd was the alternate for the US Paralympic Rowing Team for the Tokyo 2021 Paralympics. Last year, Todd represented the US at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Racice, Czech Republic finishing in 5th place in the PR3 mixed gender double sculls event. Todd won a silver medal at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia and will represent the US at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France.

Todd is married and has a dog, Lona, a 5-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever. When he’s not training Todd likes to drink coffee, watch movies, and ride scooters around his home in Portland, Oregon.
