About Abi Tidwell
Abi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Louisiana, North Carolina, Washington DC, and Virginia. Since graduating with her Master of Social Work in 2013, Abi has worked in a variety of environments including inpatient psychiatric facilities, medical centers, outpatient clinics and most recently, within the EAP realm with BHS (aka Baltimore Health Services).
Prior to joining BHS, Abi spent over four years at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital working within the neurology and neurosurgery departments and gained extensive experience working with individuals diagnosed with Movement Disorders serving as their only on-staff counselor and social worker.
Abi has worked within the mental health field providing support for short and long-term counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention services for individuals experiencing loss, grief, depression, anxiety,, and general stress.
Abi is a Louisiana native who obtained both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Social Work degrees from Tulane University in New Orleans and recently relocated to North Carolina.
