    About Eric Farbman M.D., FAAN

    Dr. Farbman completed his neurology residency and his movement disorders fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  He currently serves as the Chief of Movement Disorders at the Community Neurosciences Institute in Fresno, California, after many years of working in Las Vegas, NV. 


    In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Farbman has also been active in clinical research trials. He has taught medical students and residents and served as the medical director of the Friends of Parkinson's, a non-profit organization designed to serve those impacted by the disease. Dr. Farbman has published various articles about different movement disorders and has presented at local, national and international conferences.


    Dr. Farbman is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and a member of the Movement Disorders Society. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His clinical interests include a variety of movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, essential tremor, dystonia, restless legs syndrome and ataxia. He has two decades of experience with deep brain stimulation surgery patients. In his spare time, he enjoys playing poker and board games. He is active in the Boy Scouts of America and has an extensive collection of medical memorabilia.
