About Our Presenters:

Fausto Panizzolo, PhD

Fausto Panizzolo has an MSc in Bioengineering from University of Padova; and a PhD in biomechanics from the University of Western Australia where he studied muscle function and energetics of locomotion in patients with extreme walking dysfunction. He then worked (2014-17) as biomechanical lead of a DARPA-funded “soft exosuit” project at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts. He is the author of several key publications in exoskeleton technology and particularly in soft exoskeletons and their potential to reduce the metabolic cost of walking. He is the inventor of ExoBand and founder and CEO of Moveo.
