Brenda Heckert is an accomplished actress, comedian, writer, producer, keynote speaker, and mother.   Brenda will talk about change and lessons learned as a Caregiver.

• Comedic Moments with Bernice: Lunch with my mother, Bernice, as her Alzheimer's advanced...some things changed and some things did not, thankfully.

About Brenda Heckert

Brenda’s son is on the Autism Spectrum and navigating his education and care became her priority.  It also gave her a new outlook on life and an insight into everyone’s unique personalities and abilities.

After being asked for years, “Do you think your son will have a normal life?”, it became clear the focus of Brenda’s keynote would be educating others that there is no normal.  With her wit and wisdom, she guides her audiences through a series of stories about the ups and downs of her adult life.  Brenda’s challenges have been many and in addition to her son’s needs, she also helped to navigate her mother’s care when diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. 

Never has Brenda’s energy to captivate an audience been as evident as when she shares her stories.  You will find yourself relating to many of the situations Brenda found herself in and overcame.  This presentation will bring you joy, laughter, and hope.
